GAIQ Test(I Passed!) And Study Materials

Cross another New Year’s resolution off the list. Yesterday I took and passed the Google Analytics Individual Certification test(GAIQ). Many thanks to the new company that I’m working for and encouraging me to take the test and get it done. I’ve decided to help as much as possible for people looking to take the GAIQ test. I’ve provided a list of the study materials I’ve used below. Check them out! If you have questions, feel free to leave a comment I’d be happy to help!

GAIQ 2013 Clayton NicholsTo be quite honest, the GAIQ test was harder than I thought it would have been. Thankfully with the ability to pause and research the questions I didn’t know, I was easily able to get it done within the 90 minute time limit they impose on the test.

I figured I better write a post on some of the study materials I used, and the impressions I had on taking the test. There really are some great resources out there to help you take the test and to actually use during the test. Of course, it all depends on how you study as well. If you take notes during videos and reading the material, you should be able to refer back to most of it to complete the answers that the GAIQ has on it.

GAIQ Study Materials

Google Analytics IQ Lessons – First and foremost, I’m going to go ahead and link directly to the Google Analytics IQ section because watching the videos and reading the material located there really is helpful. It goes through sections of Google Analytics and provides helpful hints and showcases the power that Analytics offers.

GoogleAnalyticsTest.com – This site is fantastic. If you’re looking for a site that has questions like the ones that will be on the test, this is it. You have the ability to take test after test, all throughout different sections of analytics. Not only does it give you an immense resource for information, it’s also FREE! It really did become a daily visit for the past two or so weeks and I will recommend that site to anyone who’s unsure of the GAIQ test.

Distilled GAIQ Study Sheet – This guide gives you insight as to what is on the GAIQ test, and what you should be focusing your research on. It’s a good thing to really see how in depth the GAIQ is.

Google Analytics Reference Guide – Finally, this is another thing I’ve printed out and used for reference when it came to referring to my notes during the GAIQ test. Neat little quick guide that gives you the down and dirty references that you’ll need while taking the exam.

GAIQ Exam Final Thoughts

The GAIQ is necessary. Not only because I’m learning to be better at SEO and my job as an SEO Consultant, but I want to be better at breaking down the information and processing it to clients that are interested. It gives us the ability to really see everything going on with your website to the smallest degree. I’m just happy to have it completed. Most of my large resolutions have been taken care of for the 2013 year. Accomplishing goals is fantastic!
